Anyways, now.. I am really fed-up with Singnet... It has been 2 days already that I do not have internet connection from home thanks to Singnet... When i called then 2 Days ago, they told me that MAXIMUM, would be 5pm yesterday that i could get connected to the internet, due to our upgrading of broadband speed... However, till late last night, it still was not working... Today, it has better be working.... or else...... ARGH!!!!!!!!

It's just so hard to work from home without internet connection... As some of you might have figured out... I am now in school posting... haiz... this is so infuriating... maybe my expectations of Singnet was too high? I don't know.... How could they just disconnect us for so long?!?

Anyways.... do hope i have a nice day ahead today.... xD

Just taking some time to thank god for the friends i have...

Even as things are getting more and more busy at school, and we are starting to rush to complete assignments or prepare for tests.... I'm just glad that god blessed me with friends...

At times when I start to forget where i saved my files... my friends would prompt me where I last worked on the file or where i saved it... That is.. if they do see me working on it somewhere....

Sometimes we do not really see how helpful our friends have been, and maybe at times taken them for granted.... but... we do need to take time to see what they are doing for us... and also... try to help them whenever we can... so that they, in turn might love to help you....

To my friends who are on holiday, do have fun and enjoy your holidays... those who are still studying like me... Do your best bah!

ok... jus wanna update u guys...
its been like... one week plus....

well.. i went to malaysia like two weekends ago cos dad had business trip... so like a family holiday la...
then... had a 'hard' time at school... trying to understand how to code opengl....
and last weekend... well... stayed home to rush my opengl assignment for the week...
i finally finished up the opengl homework... and it is up on the web already...

now the next big thing is the UML diagrams second set i gotta do.. then i have to start planning a user interface for my next software engineering fundamentals assignment... starting to get pretty busy...

to my dear classmates from secondary school... really wished i was at ecp with u guys.... but now getting a lil busy at school.... hope u understand... but do update me on upcoming class outings... if i free i will go k ^^

If there's one thing to thank God for....
is that I am well again!

And... also... my parent's car was back from the workshop a few days ago....

Well... today... had presentation.... 2 presentations... one is show proposal to teacher... another is to do an actual presentation... the former went pretty smoothly... but the latter.... i hope it was okay....

Well... got some stuff to do... school is pretty slack yet busy.... kinda awkward... but.. nevertheless... I try my best to manage... and Thank God I made it through the past 2 weeks already...

and... before i forget... math quiz today was kinda easy... probably, there's a chance that i might get full marks for this quiz... hahaha...

Anyways.... dear pals... do try to enjoy life while u still can. ^^

Sth great jus happened....
I am losing my voice!!!!!

How did it happen? I seriously do not know....

All started with bad runny nose two days ago... then yesterday, I had a bad throat... and now.... my voice is disappearing....

Well.... looks like I'm gonna be emo for some time lol....

school is fine to this day... trying to participate more... and get more of lectures....
(sorry to my classmates if I gained credit from helping u guys to ask sometimes.... lol...)

Well... Thank God I made it through the whole morning and afternoon... Hope I can last till the next lecture ends, 6pm... it starts at 5 pm btw... half hour more.... lolz...

Ok...
What is it about nighttime in Singapore that i want to share about...

Lol... I was on the way home from my friend's BBQ today... and.... well... the roads were pretty clear....
Although there was a slight haze... the scene outside the window was... well... beutiful in a sense...

If you got a chance... do take a look... you'll find the peaceful and beutiful scenery quite pleasing to the eye and... maybe you can just sit back and think... How much more beautiful God is... He who made humans who know how to beautify our environment....

Woohoo!
Why am I so happy?

well... reason is... cos I managed to meet up and play counter strike with my good ol' friends!
Good Game Guys... and Girls... haha... (have to admit... the gals were pro... at least compared to my standard... xD)

however... there's somethin' I wish to thank God for... and... that is... my mum is safe...
she was involved in an accident... not her fault... her car was stationary... when... suddenly... bang! someone "kissed" her car in the back... the impact caused her to hit a taxi in front of her... and behind the car that hit her... another two more cars were also involved... Thank God that no one was injured...

I wonder why no one told me about it...

I only knew about it when my dad picked me up from Parkway Parade... haiz...

The past few working days were pretty hectic for moi...
well... that's office life for ya... sometimes you're free....

Well... suddenly... there seems to be a number of changes in the vessels...
Like ships being delayed or containers moved back to a later date... (by now you might have guessed what I work as)...

well... kinda sorted out some of the stuff already...
and... tmr... faithfourone'06 is gonna go for a lan session!!! YAY!

Heys....
It's been a few days since i last put up a post...

today: had a haircut... asked the barber to cut it short... lol.. the weather these days can get real hot.... ya... so i decided to make my hair real short... most probably be spiking it... haha...

yesterday: got my paycheck for the month of september... haha... so happy...

well... on Tues... I saw something pretty disturbin while i was leavin' the office... along Phillips Electronics... I saw a lady... she was carrying a baby(in her arms)... it is hers I presume... well... she was carrying this baby... and smoking... and that really causes me to think... Why would a mother be smoking while carrying her baby? If she does not care for her health... at least spare a thought for the baby... I mean... passive smokers are more affected than the people smoking themselves right... Oh well... I don't think I am in any position to judge this person's action.... but.. I just had to share it... so that others.... I hope... would not be like that...

Back from KL

Hi Guys...I'm back..

Well... the trip was pretty okay...

I reached KL at about 5 pm in the evening on Sunday... after that... we tried to find our way to Petaling Street.... a place where u can get some imitation goods... at pretty affordable prices.... well... sad to say... I din get anything... only my Dad's Boss did get some items which he wanted... Well... It might be the fun in the bargaining process that might have made him wanted to buy a few items...

Tips: When buying imitation goods... do make sure that you really want the item before you even start to negotiate the price-you do not want to get scolded for nothing. Remain firm on the price you have set for that particular item. If the shopkeeper does not want to sell it to you at that price, walk away-chances are, he'll call you back(otherwise, there are a few stores selling the same product).

After a short time of shopping, we went to the KL Tower... a revolving restaurant up there... to have dinner (and break fast with some malay contacts)... before heading back to Petaling Street and then going back to check into the Hotel...

The next day (yesterday), after eating breakfast at the Hotel... not that fantastic... but... still okay... lol... we checked out... and then went to Low Yat Plaza (if I'm not mistaken) - like Sim Lim Square here... to check our emails... at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf... after that, we went upstairs, to look for this unique device... it plays MP3 from your SD card or Thumbdrive in the car... it somehow converts the songs into radio signals which are received by the car radio... kinda cool yea? Power comes from the car's ciggerate lighter port...

After the shopping, we headed out of KL, had late KFC lunch... abt 4pm before heading back to Singapore... and somehow.. this trip used lesser fuel compared to the other trips to KL!

Oh well... I'll keep you guys posted on what's exciting that happens... But if you get the chance, look for the MP3 to radio signal converter... it's kinda cool... haha..

Last night... I was at BaliThai IMM... really enjoyed the dinner there... well... if u wonder why I was there... it was the birthday of the wife of my dad's malay friend... so.. we kinda broke fast (Malays are fasting...) together... Really had a great time...

I'll be away for about 2-3 days in malaysia... well... because my dad wanna take his boss up for a meeting... and probably some shopping... ^^

So... I hope there's some exciting things that occurs along the way... ^^

What a Day...

Whoa... Where do I start???

Well... I kinda started the day off as usual... but things kinda changed after dropping off my bros at school...(dad was driving...not me...)

After droppin' off my bros... we took the Subaru to the service center... Well... because it was due for the next servicing.. haha... after that, we headed down to Jurong... cos my dad needed to collect some documents... so that he could do some work^^.

Following that event, we headed to one of the wheel and tyre shops... in Jurong still... while waiting to meet one of his friends... Haha... we took a look at some possibilities of new rims for our car... well... we did get some quotes on roughly how much it would cost us if we were to change our rims... we wanted to change it for a reason... the wheel looks really wierd with the stock Subaru rims...

At about 1130 hrs, we did manage to meet my dad's friend... well he is a malay guy... so naturally out of respect we did not take lunch... He came in his red Subaru Impreza...(Pic is below...WRX or not... only he knows... LoL)

Nice ain't it...? He took us to a petrol kiosk somewhere in Jurong... where he reccommended us some nice rims... ahaha... we spent like about 2 hours or so... before we decided on one that will suit the car pretty well... and... we placed an order for it... ^^

After that... we went off to do our own errands again... and then at about 5 in the evening, we got a call from the tyre shop... we were told that our new set of wheels are ready to be collected and paid for... so we drove down to the same shop... and.. my dad's friend came along too... later on... we exchanged the old wheels for the new one... and voila... our car looks much better. YAY! =) (a pic of me and the car below....)

Well... after that, we went back to the office... (never even went to office before this trip to the office) to collect the newspapers for today... haha... then we headed home... for dinner. ^^

Well it has sure been a long day... and I learned a thing or two about wheels...
Thank God for that friend of my dad... He sure was great help when it came to choosing the right sports rim for the car.

A Word of Thanksgiving...

Yesterday, my dad woke up at 0400 hrs...
He had a sharp pain in his tummy...
However, when he woke up, he remembered a Pastor's name, Pastor Yong Tai Tong...
After drinking a glass of water and some bread, the pain still remained...
At about 0530 hrs, he woke my mum... and my mum prayed for him...(he did pray before waking my mum)...
Thank God, after and hour or so... at about 6 plus in the morning, he felt alot better.
(That morning, my mum did the morning runs instead of my dad... sending the kids to school)

Later on in the morning, around 8 plus... after much debate....

We went to see a doctor in Mount Elizabeth Hospital... just to get my dad checked up...
The doctor said that it was nothing major... Thank God... Just gastric and that there might be more acid in the stomach than normal... So, my dad was prescribed some medicine to keep the acid level lower...

Praise God for the healing that happened to my dad in the morning.

It's Been A While...

It's been a while since I posted...
Well... reason is simple, I have been working over the last few weeks...
(I still am... until school starts...)

I know you JCians are having Promos or going to have it pretty soon... All the best to you guys.

By the way, my results were released and I was pretty astonished at what I saw...
Not that I had really really bad results... Thank God! I actually got 3.9 (rounded off... not enclosing actual figures...) for my GPA (Grade Point Average). On top of that, I was happy to come to know that I was in the top 10% list for my course... (at least for the first semester...I don't usually get that high a rank in Primary and Secondary Schools)
Praise the Lord for what he has done in my life...

I really wish to encourage you people reading this... that if you put in enough effort on your part... and ask GOD to help you... You'll be able to do much better than what you normally are able to perform... (at least that's how I see things now...)

oh well.. they cam and sang a modified version of it... while 'delivering' the cake to our table...

Has it occurred to you that something you do very frequently may slip your mind?

eg. Switching off the lights; Locking your car; etc.

and one day ask himself if he did that thing for that day.

eg. A man left home for work one day and asked himself if he had turned off the lights at home.

It seems to me that when someone does a particular thing too often, he may not even need to think about it when he does it.

It just seems to be second nature to him already.

So much so that when asked if he has locked the car or turned off the lights, he may not even remember doing so and may even go back to double check.

I would like to share this with all you pple out there...
God is such a great God. He works wonders in his own ways.
Just yesterday, after boarding the supposedly last bus to church while my mom was parking the car, the bus could not wait any longer. So we had to set out for church in the free shuttle while my mom had to find her way to the expo after parking in Simei. But Praise The Lord! Upon reaching the expo for church, my mom sent an sms telling me that she was on the last bus to church.
God is Great.

Well... In church today, the pastor was from overseas...
He said that all of us are fearfully and wonderfully made. And all of us have a chance to enjoy the unique love from GOD, father in heaven.

Besides that, I have also come to realise that all parents actually love their kids no matter what.
It may seem that they are pushing you very hard to study for the examinations, however, it may actually be a sign that you may be doing something else too much instead of studying. And, out of love and concern, they come along to tell you to study.

So all you people reading this, TREASURE your parent's advice and do as they say. It Is For Your Own Good!

I was the baby you loved so dearly. You took 5 years just to make me. I brought you joy when you first held me in your arms. I was the mischievous one whom you couldn’t really understand what I was doing most of the time.

Many a times I got injured and you showered me with tender loving care. You were the one who sat beside me during the long flights to Indonesia and you were the one who bought the green dinosaur soft toy that I still keep. When I was in a coma, you took leave just to massage my hands and feet that I may walk when i recover.

In primary school, I got third for primary one and that made you proud. But after that I didn’t manage to get any prizes. Hope I didn’t get u angry as well. In primary six, I passed my PSLE and got an aggregate of 228 and you were happy.

I didn’t get into the first choice of secondary schools but I managed to get into the second choice, Geylang Methodist Secondary School. It was there where I got to meet you, my good and my best friends. It was you whom helped me get into the Prefectorial board. Thanks a million.

You, my best friend, whom I met in class within the project work group, and who was in the same Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) as me, helped me skip many trainings by giving excuses for me (I was really skipping trainings at that time, BUT for a good reason).

It was very cool when I was there to see you play for the SRC softball carnival in 2004. Where you helped to clinch the 4^th prize for us. It was really fun. That year, it seemed as if it was the longest to me.

Remember where I had to go to a different class at the end of the year? Oh man, I was overjoyed, wonder what about you? However, our friendship still lasts. I still meet you during practice and that seemed like the only time we get to talk besides lunch after school.

Being with you for more than one year has been a great experience. Especially where some of you love to joke a lot about other classmates (including me). Went through thick and thin as a class, had many different encounters with teachers together. I really love the moments we had together.

Walking Fairy Tale (WordPlay Hol HW)

Could you ever imagine a person whose life is a fairy tale? It may sound wierd, or unbelievable, but there are people out there with this kind of life, and one good example is Samantha. Samantha is a girl who just loves to go out and play. However, her mother passed away when she was young

Because of that, her father, who was very rich, decided to re-marry to let Samantha lead a better life with a family consisting of not just a father but at least a step-mother too. When her step-mother came into the family, she brought along two daughters along with her. They are Jean and Jane, Samantha's step-sisters.

When they moved in, Samantha's father had to go overseas for a business deal. He had to be away for a long period of about two to three years. After he had left for the airport, Samntha's step-mother treated Samantha as a maid. She made Samantha do all the household chores, from washing the dishes, to washing the toilet and scrubbing the floor. Samantha also was made to sleep in the attic of the house while her step-sisiters slept in her room.

One day, when she was doing her household chores, her step-mother went out to retrieve the mail from the mailbox. That was when her step-mother noticed a letter for Samantha. Samantha's step-mother opened her letter to read it before giving it to Samantha. There was going to be a Prom Night for all ex-students of her previous school to gather for dinner and dance.

When Samantha got the letter from her step-mother, she was told that she could not attend the prom night as she would be very busy on that night and on top of that, she would not have any new clothes to wear to the Prom Night.

Upon hearing that, Samantha's feelings changed. She became more depressed and prayed everyday that her father might just come home as soon as possible and take her to the Prom Night. But she knew that it takes a true miracle for that to happen as her dad will be away for a few more years.

On the night that she was supposed to be out, Samntha's stepmother and her step-sisters went out shopping and they told her to complete all the chores before 1 a.m. when they come back and they expect her to be sleeping already by that time.

As they left the house, Samantha stayed back and kept on weeping. Soon, her neighbour walked by and asked her what happened. She turned to explain every single detail of what happened and then continued weeping. Suprisingly, her neighbour told her that she was going to help her.

Samantha asked how her neighbour, Chris was going to help her. Chris told her that she did not mind helping Samantha do her chores while Samantha went out to the Prom Night in Chris's gown and glass shoes which did not seem to fit her any longer. She told Samantha that she might look very gorgeous in that gown and shoes.

Samantha did as was told by her neighbour. However, on one condition, she has to be back by midnight to go to sleep otherwise she might be discovered. Samantha took a ride in Chris's father's car to the ballroom where the event was held at. She enjoyed herself tremendously.

At the Prom Night, there is bound to be a Prom King and a Prom Queen, and whether they will start a relationship in future is up to them. At around five minutes to midnight, the Prom King was announced. The Prom King was given the privellage to choose his Prom Queen. He scanned the room and saw Samantha, dressed in her very best.

When he was about to call her up to the stage, she ran off as she remembered that she had to be home before midnight. She got on the car and it sped away. Little did she know that she had actually dropped one of her glass shoes while rushing up the car. The Prom King, Jason, whom Samantha had a crush on during her school days, picked up the glass shoe and went back in to the Prom Night.

He asked for Samantha's address from the organizers. However, they could not tell the exact address of Samantha's place but they can only tell Jason the street name.

Samantha got home on time and she noticed she lost one glass shoe. She did not know how to break it to Chris so she hid all the clothes in a secret compartment in the attic and went to sleep.

The next day, she woke up and saw that the house was very clean, thanks to Chris. Her step-mother told her to take a break at the end of the week for a day for she thought Samantha did a very good job.

On the other hand, Jason was knocking door to door of every house on the street that Samantha was living in as he looked for a person named Samantha whom he saw that night, and her foot must be able to fit into the glass shoe.

It so happened that when he knocked on Samantha's house, it was her day off from household chores. She was asked to open the door by her step-mother. Dressed in ragged clothes, she went to open the door and to her amazement, she saw Jason, drenched in prespiration as he asked for Samantha.

She told him that her name was Samantha. He tried to slip on the glass shoe and it fit. Then, he asked her if she would marry him....

This is the life of Samantha, the walking fairy tale, simillar to the story of Cinderella.
